Comprehensive Management Solutions

Four disciplines, woven together. Each is backed by decades of practice serving non-profit corporations, co-operatives, and community housing partners.

Resident & Property Services

Day-to-day management by experienced Property Managers — Rental Administration that meets every Service Manager and legislative requirement, Marketing & Leasing with 0-30 day unit turnover, Accommodation under the Ontario Human Rights Code, and proactive Eviction Prevention. Annual unit and grounds inspections, arrears collection, on-site staff supervision, maintenance request tracking, contractor monitoring, and vacancy fills.

Capital Asset & Infrastructure

Led by our Director of Amalgamations, Development & Acquisitions (PEng). Review of current capital budgets, building condition assessments, 5-year capital plans using tested financial models, and procurement of goods and services — including support for projects designated as "Projects in Difficulty" to restore long-term viability.

From a single Hamilton incorporation to managing thousands of homes across Southern Ontario.

1974

Foundation

Victoria Park Community Homes incorporated as a private non-profit housing corporation in Hamilton, Ontario.

1980s

Growth Period

Expanded portfolio to include multiple communities across the Hamilton-Wentworth region.

1990s

Regional Expansion

Extended operations to Kitchener, Burlington, Mississauga, and other Southern Ontario communities.

2000s

Management Services

Began offering professional management services to other non-profit housing providers and co-operatives.

2015

New Development

Initiated planning for the New Halton (Bronte) development at 150 Bronte Street South in Milton.

2021

Community Collaborative

Launched the Caledon Community Collaborative, partnering with Hamilton organizations for deeper resident support.

2024

50th Anniversary

Celebrating over 50 years of building communities, managing homes across cities and municipal regions.

2026

60 Caledon Avenue

Construction underway in Hamilton on 261 mixed-income homes — 57% offered below market rent, with fully accessible common areas. Occupancy targeted for 2027.

Brings over 25 years of strong leadership in the affordable and community housing sector, driving strategic, data-informed growth. An Executive MBA graduate, Social Service Worker and certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, with advanced training from the Ivey Academy and Queen's University, Matt is known for an entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative leadership style, guided by the belief that everyone deserves an affordable home in a safe community. Matt will continue to champion innovative approaches to ensure VPCH remains a sector leader and a trusted, reliable partner in the communities it serves.
