In order to find out whether you are eligible for a subsidy, you must contact the approriate housing division and fill out the necessary form(s).

| When is my rent due? |
Rent is due on or before the 1st of every month.

| How is my rent calculated? |
Your rent is usually 30% of your total household income.

| What happens if I have bad credit? |
As a normal business practice, Victoria Park conducts a credit check on all potential tenants. If you owe money to a landlord for rent or damages, you will not be offered accommodations.

| Can I add someone to my lease? |
Contact your property manager for more information. There are rules and regulations which may apply.

| What does "gross income" mean? |
This is your income prior to any deductions, including taxes.

| Are utility costs included in my rent? |
In some cases, all utilities are included while others, you are responsible for payment of utilities.

| What if I need more than 1 parking spot? |
Contact your resident manager for more information.

| Can I have a pet? |
Victoria Park has a pet policy in place. We recognize that pets are part of your family, however you are required to register your pets with our office.

| Can I pay my rent with cash? |
Cash can only be paid at our head office (155 Queen St. N., Hamilton). Otherwise, you can pay via debit, pre-authorized payment or cheque.

| I'm going to be late with my rent. What do I do? |
Call your property manager immediately to advise us of your situation.
|
| I want to move out of my unit. What do I do? |
We require 60 days written notice to terminate your tenancy. This notice must be received either at the end of the month or within the first few working days. |
